BESS COOK TOURNAMENT

Cypress Lakes Golf Club





It was a gorgeous day as 30 players arrived eager to put forth their best game in an attempt to get their names added to the coveted trophy that honors one of NOWGA's best - BESS COOK.  Today was extra special as we celebrated the 40th year of the tournament.  Bess's daughters, Karen and Janet, have attended the tournament every year in order to honor their mother and present the trophy to the winner.  They are proud to share the day that recognizes their mother for all that she did for NOWGA.

The staff of Cypress Lakes welcomed the club and showed their appreciation by providing each player with extra balls to replace those they knew some of us were going to leave behind on their very challenging holes that are surrounded by water.  Some of us were so appreciative that we left them the balls they gave us plus a few of our own.  The course was in great shape and it was delightful to see the improvements that have been made.
